9th Annual Mother’s Day 5k Run & Walk

Event Date & Time: 2018-05-13 8:30 AM

Hospice Care of Middletown’s 9th annual Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk will be Sunday, May 13, 2018. Our online race entry partner, Speedy-Feet, has our race information and online registration set up on their website. Click on the link here to register online:

Net proceeds from the event are used to help fund our Wish for a Day program for our hospice patients, and to help pay for hospice care for those patients who don’t have insurance. Our race grows every year. Last year we had about 450 timed runners and walkers and about 200 untimed walkers. The race begins at 8:30 am at the beautiful Woodside Cemetery & Arboretum in Middletown. The folks from Speedy-Feet professionally time our racers using Chip technology, and the results and pictures are posted on their website after the race at www.speedy-feet.com. Awards are given for the overall male and female runners, then the top 3 male and female in age groups. The top 3 male and female walkers also receive awards. The course is perfect for running: a wide, flat, asphalt course that winds throughout the beautiful grounds. Shorter course loops will also be marked for those who don’t want to go a full 5K distance. All of the Mothers/Grandmothers/Great-Grandmothers participating will receive a special gift. The first 150 registered will receive a special “goody” bag. There will be lots of door prizes, and refreshments during and after the race. Those who want to walk in memory of a loved one can have a special memory sign made that will be placed along the walk/run route and can be taken home after the event. Corporate and civic group discounts are available. You can also fill out a paper form and register at our office at 3909 Central Ave. in Middletown. For more information, please call Judy Vincent at 513-594-9714. Please come join us for the fun. And thank you in advance for supporting our community not-for-profit hospice!
