Let Our Patients’ Families Tell You About Our Caregivers.

Learn More About the Hospice Benefit and Services.

It has been said that “immortality lies not in the things you leave behind, but in the people, your life has touched.” At Hospice Care of Middletown, our volunteers take this saying to heart. If you desire the rewards and satisfaction of serving others, volunteering may be a perfect way for you to give back to your hometown community.

Your tax deductible charitable gift provides quality care for indigent patients or those without a hospice insurance benefit, provides grief support for families and friends of hospice patients and those in our service community, and pays for quality care not fully reimbursed under the per day hospice benefit.

  • “I want to thank all of you for taking such wonderful care of my Bill.  I’ll never be able to thank you enough, everyone was so loving and caring.  I couldn’t have made it without all of you.  God helped me a lot every day and every minute and then you all came and that was a blessing also.  Again, thank you and also for the “Prayer Shawl” blanket.  I will always cherish it.”

  • “Just a note to tell you that Millie’s passing from this world to home would not have been as peaceful without your incredible compassion and genuine love for those we care for.  Every caregiver we encountered was professional, kind, and had a spiritual energy you could just feel.  God bless you all for doing this work.  You make Jesus smile.”

  • “My family and I cannot thank Hospice Care of Middletown enough for all that they did and provided when my mother became ill.  It was a great relief knowing that they were there to answer any questions, administer medicines, and assist us and our mother in any way that we needed.  Hospice Care of Middletown allowed my family and I to spend the last few weeks of my mother’s time on earth caring for her as her children rather that her caregivers.  They gave us the peace of mind we needed to get through such a difficult time, for that we are forever thankful.”

  • “Thank you for everything you did for my mom.  You were tremendous support while she was in the nursing facilities.  Most especially, I am grateful that you made it possible for her to be at home where she wanted to be during her last few months.  You not only helped her be as well and as comfortable as she could be, but you shared your hearts and made her smile.  And you eased my mind and lightened the load.  I could not have done it without you.  Thank you for all your hard work, your patience, and your wonderful care.”

  • “Hospice Care of Middletown provided the very best physical care, emotional support, and spiritual guidance to my beloved husband, family, and myself.  I am at peace knowing that he received the very best during his last months.  Even after my husband’s passing, emotional and spiritual support from Hospice has been ongoing.”

  • “Thank you for the exceptional care and love you’ve shown our mother during her final days.  We will never forget your calls and sincere concern for her comfort throughout the process.  God bless each one of the nurses who gave of themselves.  Mom was an RN.  You made her proud!”
